General Instance Information
- What instances are available for deployment (Vendor, Dev, QA, Production)?
- What current ServiceNow version do you use for instances (Washington, Xanadu, Yokohama, Zurich)?
- Describe your instance cloning processes in place (if any).
- What is your ServiceNow upgrade cycle?
CMDB
- Is the CMDB structure used in the instances, if so how?
- Are there any existing assets or configuration items managed (cameras, badge readers, computers, etc), if so what/how?
- Describe data imports for CMDB (data source, data format, schedule, etc.)?
Surveys and Assessments we can setup if needed
- Is the ServiceNow Assessment Module being used for surveys/assessments, if so how?
Email Service
- Are instances used to notify users via email/process email requests?
- Is there any email policies in place (filtering, auto-responders, inbound email actions, etc.)
Core tables
- Is Workspace Service Delivery used in the instances?
- Are “cmn_location” tables and “core_company” tables used for any workflows or processes, if so how?
Self-Service Catalog
- Is Service Portal/Employee Center being used, if so how?
Additional considerations
- Please list any additional details that you think might be helpful during discovery and configuration phases (e.g. MID Server information, app transactions limit, approval rules, ETL processes, critical scheduled jobs, etc.).
