User Guide: Guard Tour Operations with QR Code Scanning

User Guide: Guard Tour Operations with QR Code Scanning

Release: 1.4.0

Overview

Guard Tour Operations introduces QR code scanning to physical security patrol management. Security guards can now complete patrol checks by scanning QR codes placed at physical checkpoints, instantly accessing the required assessment on their mobile device. Manual check-in remains available as a fallback.

What's New

  • QR Code Generation: Administrators can generate printable QR code labels for each checkpoint with one click
  • QR Code Scanning: Guards use their mobile device camera to scan checkpoint QR codes and access assessments immediately
  • Enhanced Mobile App: Improved interface for viewing assigned tours, checking in at stops, and completing assessments
  • Completion Messages: Custom confirmation messages when a check is completed
  • Smart Filtering: Reference fields in check records only show relevant assets, templates, and CIs
