User Guide: Impacted Locations and Impacted Users in Intelligence PSI

Overview
The Impacted Locations and Impacted Users enhancement adds two critical tracking fields to Intelligence PSI records. These fields were previously only available in Critical Event PSI forms and now provide consistent impact tracking across both PSI types.
Two new fields added to Intelligence PSI:
- Impacted Locations - Track which facilities, buildings, or areas are affected by the incident
- Impacted Users - Track which individuals are affected by or relevant to the incident
For SOC Operators and Security Personnel
Part 1: Creating an Intelligence PSI with Impacted Fields
Step 1: Create a New Intelligence PSI
- Open Bearing Workspace and navigate to Incidents
- Click New
- Set Type to: Intelligence
- The form loads with the Intelligence PSI fields, including the two new fields
Step 2: Fill In Basic Incident Information
Complete the standard fields:

Step 3: Add Impacted Locations
- Locate the Impacted Locations field (in the Impact or Details section of the form)
- Click on the field - a search box activates
- Type to search for a Protected Asset:
- Type building name: e.g., "Building A"
- Type location identifier: e.g., "PA0001234"
- Select the location from the results - it is added to the list
- To add more locations, click the field again, search, and select
- Repeat for all affected locations
Step 4: Add Impacted Users
- Locate the Impacted Users field (near the Impacted Locations field)
- Click on the field - a search box activates
- Search for a user by:
- Name: e.g., "John Smith"
- Email: e.g., "john.smith@company.com"
- User ID: e.g., "john.smith"
- Select the user from the results - they are added to the list
- To add more users, click the field again, search, and select
- Repeat for all impacted individuals
Step 5: Complete Remaining Fields
Continue filling out the Intelligence PSI:
- Intelligence Source - Where the information came from
- Threat Level - Assessment of threat severity
- Actionable - Is the intelligence actionable?
- Related Incidents - Link to related PSI records
- Attachments - Supporting documents, photos, or intelligence reports
Step 6: Submit the Incident
- Review all fields:
- Basic incident information complete?
- Impacted Locations accurate?
- Impacted Users correct?
- All relevant information documented?
- Click Submit
The record is saved, an incident number is assigned (e.g., PSI0012345), and the impacted locations and users are linked.
Part 2: Viewing Impacted Information on an Existing Incident
- Open the Intelligence PSI record
- Scroll to the Impacted Locations field to view the list of all linked locations
- Click any location to open the Protected Asset record
- Scroll to the Impacted Users field to view the list of all linked users
- Click any user to open their profile
