Overview
The Security Object Person - Additional Fields enhancement adds five new identification and contact fields to Security Object records of type "Person." These fields make it easier to identify and contact individuals, resolve ambiguity when multiple people share similar names, and link Security Object records to ServiceNow user accounts.
New Fields
The following fields have been added to Security Object Person records:

For End Users
Viewing a Security Object Person Record
- Open Bearing Workspace
- Navigate to Security Objects
- Filter the list: Type = Person
- Click on any person record to open it
- The new fields appear in the Person Information section:
For Administrators: Creating or Updating a Person Record
- Open or create a Security Object with Type = Person
- Fill in the new fields:
- User ID: Enter the person's ServiceNow username (found in their user profile)
- Email: Enter their email address
- Business Phone: Enter their office phone number
- Mobile Phone: Enter their personal/mobile number
- Photo: Click to upload a photo (JPG or PNG)
- Click Save or Update
Tip: If you are also using VRES-597 (Auto-Populate from sys_user), these fields will be filled in automatically when you select the user from the "User" field.
Use Cases
Resolving name ambiguity: When multiple employees share a name (e.g., multiple "John Smith" entries), the User ID and Photo allow security personnel to confirm the exact individual.
Incident response: Contact information (business phone, mobile, email) is immediately available on the Security Object record without needing to search elsewhere.
BOLO reports: The Photo field supports Be On the Lookout reports with visual identification.
Badge management: The User ID creates a direct link between the Security Object Person and the employee's ServiceNow user record.
